Stand Up To Stigma is a peer mental health organization offering peer support groups and additional behavioral health resources in the Greater Albuquerque Metropolitan Area and the State of New Mexico and many weekly online via Zoom support groups.

Stand Up To Stigma is peer-developed, peer-managed, and peer-led mental health organization dedicated to providing weekly peer support groups for those living with the challenges and triumphs of a mood disorder and related behavioral health and medical health issues. In an environment of mutual understanding, caring, and encouragement, we at STS believe every peer has the ability and strength within to empower themselves in their recovery journeys. Peer support is a very important factor in meaningful wellness and recovery for many of those with mental health issues.

STS peer support groups are a free service to our communities. We are a self-supportive organization and donations are appreciated, which go to support group expenses, educational program sponsorship, and peer group activities.

Our peer support groups follow the STS Support Group Guidelines which are designed by peers and for peers. These guidelines have been developed over the last decade for the safety and protection of all participants. The guidelines will always reflect the needs and safety of our participants.

In addition to our weekly peer support groups, Stand Up To Stigma routinely offers social activities for peers and their families/friends to enjoy.
